Quentin D. Bobo, born on April 21, 1983, at Glendale Heights Community Hospital in Glendale Heights, Illinois, Quentin D. Bobo is the beloved son of Leroy Bobo and Debra Bobo. In his early years, Quentin attended his grandmother’s church for a short time. His family later moved to Bellwood, Illinois, where he began his education at Lincoln Elementary. He graduated from Roosevelt Middle School and went on to attend Proviso West High School. While incarcerated, Quentin pursued his education, earning his GED and a Master’s in Psychology from Carrington College in 2005. Quentin was known for his protective nature and loving personality. He enjoyed spending time with friends and meeting new people, creating lasting bonds wherever he went. Quentin was preceded in death by his sister, Litrice A. Townes; his brother, Deangelo I. Townes; his uncle, Bernard Townes Joe; and his grandfather, Willie Hodges. Quentin is survived by his parents, Leroy Bobo and Debra Bobo; his godsister, Shari; his stepfather, Teddy F. Howard; his stepsister, Shekia Howard; his grandmother, Pastor Winnie Townes; his aunts, Thelma Townes and Darnetta Moore (Jessie); and his uncles, Willie Jr. (Amy), Stanley (Sherrell), Gregory, Terry (Angela), Darnell, and Derrick (Heather). Quentin’s closest friends, Byron (“Lil B”), Booker (“Mikey”), and Charnice (“Skeet”), held a special place in his heart. He fondly referred to his younger sister as “J Low,” and he considered Byron and Booker as his brothers. Quentin was a devoted father to his children, Amari Gilford, Amaiya Bobo, and Shamyia Bobo, and a proud grandfather to his grandson, Jamari Gilford. He is also remembered by his siblings on his father’s side, Leroy and Deborah Bobo and a host of cousins and family and friends. Quentin D. Bobo will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
