Quenton Jordan Obituary

Quention was a loving child. He was a very quiet, mild mannered, loving, and caring young man. Que’s parents brought him up in the way of holiness and instilled in him that Christ was the way, so at a young and tender age he accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior. Que was a member of Healing Temple Church of God in Christ under the leadership of Superintendent Larry Lockhart. Que attended Parkside Elementary School and Austin High School. While attending high school, Que became an excellent dancer and was a footworker/rap battler; he also participated in many other activites such as UFC Fighting, Worldwide footworking & battle rapping, and many other organizations. Que could always work his charm, which gained him many new friendships and tremendous respect from all those he encountered. Que was a family man. He loved and adored his father and siblings. He cherished the relationships they all had. Que’s affection for family grew even greater when he began his own family. He was a very proud father to Jakyia; she was the love of his life as most daddy’s girls are. There was nothing in the world that Que would not do for his little girl. However, his heart jumped for joy when he found out that his legacy would continue when he found out he was the father to a little boy named Tahj Rico; he was overjoyed. Que was blessed to have his mother, Yolanda “Lonnie,” in his life for a short span of six years. However, after Lonnie’s passing, Que and his mom still had a tight spiritual connection that brought him comfort and peace to hold on to. Que was a sports guy; he loved all the city of Chicago teams: the Chicago Bears, Chicago Cubs, Chicago Bulls, and the Chicago White Sox, with which he was recently employed. He loved sports and loved being able to work in the industry that he loved so much and to meet so many of his favorite players. Quention’s life was taken so shortly on August 28, 2021. He was received with welcoming arms by his mother, Yolanda “Lonnie” Smith-Jordan; and grandparents, Sammy and Vermon Smith, Doris Jordan and McHenry Lewis. Que leaves to cherish his memories his loving father; Michael Jordan, a daughter; Jakyia Hawkins, a son; Tahj Rico, his siblings; Larekia, Netphitiria(Lardon), Tamikia (Lonnie), Onjel, Carmen, Michael Jr, Martellis(Andrea), Marcus(Amelia), Samuel, Jeremy, Montell, Gary, and Robert. His aunts: Pamela Jordan, Sonya Smith, and Bronzella Boyd, his uncles: McHenry Jordan Jr., and Marcus Smith, Que also leaves to cherish a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends
