Quinton Mister Obituary

Quinton Terrell Mister (affectionately known as Rell) was born on July 10, 1968, in Berwyn, IL to Sammie and Dossie Mister. To this union, eleven children were born. Quinton was the eighth child. Quinton grew up in Summit-Argo, IL. He received his early education in Summit School District 104. He graduated from Argo Community High School. He joined the United States Army immediately after graduating from high school. Quinton demonstrated a strong work ethic. He worked hard and maintained great longevity with his employers. He established a 20 plus year career at Viskase. His career continued at Pactiv, where he retired. Quinton thoroughly enjoyed sports, especially basketball and football. He was a loyal Green Bay Packers and Chicago Bulls fan. You couldn’t tell Quinton that he wasn’t sharp! He took great pride in being well-dressed for all occasions. He enjoyed music, and recently began playing guitar. Quinton married Marie Josette on May 1, 2018. She was the love of his life. He took great pride in their union and enjoyed the life that they built in Charlotte, NC. They enjoyed attending St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Charlotte, NC for worship and fellowship. Quinton was excited about his health being renewed so that he could travel again. He was especially excited about traveling to the Philippines with his wife, later this year. God knows just how much we can bear. He stepped in on Monday, January 16, 2023, and called Quinton home. Quinton is absent from the body and present with the Lord. Quinton was preceded in death by his parents, Sammie and Dossie Mister; sisters Beverly, Carolyn, and Emma; and brother, Tommy. Quinton leaves to cherish his memory: his loving wife, Marie Josette Mister; his son, Quinton Stephan Mister; sisters: Belinda (Conrad), Alice, Samantha, Shalitha (Les), and Gloria; brothers: Larry Jarmons, Albert James Mister, and Jamison Mister; a sisterin-law, Limla Navarro, and brother-in-law, Jomero Navarro; maternal aunts Gwen Curry, Dorothy, Essie, Lucy, Johnetta, Loretta, Lula, and Julie (all Fizers); paternal uncle Thomas Mister, maternal uncles Sam, James, Roger and Scottie (All Fizers); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
