Ra’Shya Royalty Miracle Nevith was born in Chicago, IL, on April 6, 2024, to William Rashaad Nevith and Rasheta Raines. A ectionately known as “Shya,” she touched many lives and was deeply loved in her short time. Shya was a ghter. Born at 22 weeks, weighing one pound and three ounces, the doctors said she wouldn’t survive her rst day. But God said di erent! Shya had a smile that would light up the room and a sparkle in her eyes that would brighten anyone’s day. Shya spent most of her life in the NICU at Rush University Medical Center where she was born. Many nurses favored her, especially Nurse Dakota, with whom she shared a special bond. Many of her days were spent listening to gospel songs played by her mom. eir favorites were “Won’t He Do It,” by Koryn Hawthorne and “ e Battle Is Not Yours,” by Yolanda Adams. Shya blessed her loved ones with ve months on this earth until she was called home on September 7, 2024. Shya transitioned surrounded by the love of her parents who never le her side. Her grandmother Lorie Marsh; aunt, Aiesha Nevith; and great-grandmothers, Carolyn Yarbrough, Dorothy Davidson, and Rebecca Nevith, preceded her in death. Shya leaves to cherish her memories: her parents, Rasheta and William; one brother, Rashaad Nevith; three sisters, Taraji Nevith, Lahnyia Nevith, and Zariah Nevith; grandparents, Debra Raines, Leon Raines, and Willie Nevith; greatgrandmother, Juanita Culpepper; aunt, Chanell Raines; uncles, Corey Nevith, Leon Raines, Jr., Camaron Hardy, and Kavon Hardy; godmother, Tykeisha; special cousins, Stephanie, LaKeva, Kamesha, Kateara, and Michelle; and a host of other relatives and loved ones.
