RENITA BEATRICE MILLER, a beloved mother, daughter, sister, auntie, and grandmother, passed away on Monday, March 3, 2025. Renita Beatrice Miller, the third child of five children was born on September 21, 1969, to Robert Miller, Sr., and Jeanne Miller at Cook County Hospital of Chicago, Illinois. Renita attended Austin Community High School where she was a cheerleader and received her diploma in 1987. Renita found Christ at an early age and was baptized young. She became a Christian member who dedicated herself to serving God in churches, often seeking to grow in faith and understand the word of God. Renita joined New Star Bethlehem as a choir member who loved to sing. She later joined a family gospel group with her sisters called the Israelites/Miller sisters. Renita also attended Mt. Zion Baptist Church as a choir member, a bus driver for the children daycare, and a teacher at the church daycare. Renita had a passion to care for people and children by giving her time, patience, and love to others. Renita established her own daycare businesses called Garden of Angels, caring for children in Galesburg, Illinois; Minneapolis, Minnesota; and Kalamazoo, Michigan. Renita was a strong, self-understanding, outgoing, fun, open minded, spiritual, and lovely person who made friends everywhere she went. Renita loved to cook, BBQ, and shop. She cooked for herself, family, friends, and the community. Renita meant the world to us. She was close to her siblings but mostly close to Robbie and her husband, Eugene, who took her in like their daughter. They enjoyed having her closer to their family planning, cooking, watching movies, giving advice, and learning new things from each other. Renita leaves to cherish her memories: her mother, Jeanne Miller; siblings, sisters, Robbie (Eugene Glen), Rosalind (Abdul Maureedullah), Romona (Anthony Jordan), and brothers, Robert, Reshaun and Robin McIntee; children, daughter, Demeysha Monae Little (Nae Nae), and sons, Martez Caldwell and LaQuonntis Miller; grandchildren, Deontae Miller, Alantae Miller, Lydia, Lyrica, and Legacy Miller; a host of uncles and aunts, Calvin (Rachel), Clifford (Emily), Janice, Felita, Jetant, and Mitchell; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Miller, Sr.; brother, Robert Miller, Jr.; son, Lavelle; and niece, Angela Glenn.
