Rickey Rush

Rickey Rush was born on August 22, 1998, to his parents, Rickey and Jamika in Chicago. One brother, Demond, preceded him in death. Rickey graduated from Proviso West High School in Hillside, IL, in 2016. After high school, Rickey worked at McDonalds, Got Junk, Security, and Amazon. Most recently, he was employed in his father’s towing business. Rickey was also still involved with the Proviso West Band where he was teaching and assisting with Drumline students. He also had a great passion for basketball and played with several basketball leagues. In his spare time, he loved to play games and was called “Chief COD” (Call of Duty) for Playstation games. He was a loving father and always spent quality time with his beautiful daughters. Those who will cherish his memory: two daughters Mya and Ziah; mother, Jamika; father, Rickey; grandmothers, Alisa and Tallulah; special grandma, Mary; grandfathers, William and Rickey; five brothers, Jeremiah, Trashawn, Travonte, Montii, and Mason; four sisters, Rickeya, Rickiaha, Mercedes, and Drea; one close uncle, Israel; and a host aunts, uncles, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
