Rose H. Blanton was born on February 4, 1940, in Luxora, Arkansas, to her proud parents, the late Alfred and Ardee Hargrove. On November 16, 2024, she peacefully departed this life at West Suburban Hospital. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents; her eldest son, Khord; and her siblings, Oral Hightower and Alfred Hargrove. In her early years, Rose attended George Washington Carver High School, where she laid the foundation for her future. With a determined spirit, she became self-employed, establishing and managing her own successful cleaning service business. Later, she extended her care to others by working in home health care until her health no longer allowed her to do so. In Chicago, Illinois, Rose met the late Hughley E. Blanton, who became the love of her life. They united in marriage, and together they raised two children, Khord and Kal Blanton. Family and friends fondly remember Rose for her loving nature, exceptional culinary talents, wisdom, strong family values, and the countless heartwarming memories she created. Her life was a testament to resilience, kindness, and grace. Rose was a remarkable woman, embodying the values of hard work and perseverance. From a young age, she dedicated herself to supporting her family, overcoming challenges with strength and optimism. Her uplifting spirit and unwavering commitment to helping others left an indelible mark on all who knew her. Above all, Rose’s faith was the cornerstone of her life. She confessed her faith in Christ at an early age and found strength and guidance in God throughout her journey. Even in her final moments, her prayers were a testament to her steadfast belief. Rose leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. She is survived by: her children, Kal and Sonia; grandchildren, Tiffany, Devon, Khord, Zaida (Joshua Davis), and Ashley Raggs; her stepchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters, Flossie Allen and Mary Hargrove; and her in-laws; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. Rose H. Blanton’s life was a beautiful example of strength, compassion, and love. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered in the hearts of those she touched
