Roy Butler

ROY RENAE BUTLER was born on February 19, 1951, to the union of Mr. Terry and Mrs. Arleen Butler. Roy received his education in Summit, Illinois. He attended Graves and Argo High School where he met his sweetheart, Essie. Roy enlisted into the United States Marine Corps in 1968. He was honorably discharged in 1972. Roy went back home and found his sweetheart. Roy and Essie got married in 1973 in Spring eld, Illinois. Life took them down a different path. Roy ended up in Las Vegas where he had two children, Teela and Roy. A er several years, Roy and Essie found their way back to each other. called Roy home. ey resided together until the Lord Roy was preceded in death by his father, Terry Butler; mother, Arleen Butler (Jimerson); two brothers, Terry Butler, Jr., and Charles Butler; and sister, Sandra Butler. Roy leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Essie Butler; brother, Russel Butler (Brenda); sister, Christine Butler; aunt Mertis Butler; daughter, Teela Beckum; son, Roy Webb; stepdaughter, Deanna Butler (Devlan); nieces, Amari Craig, Lakeya Lillard and Farisa Smith; special sister-in-laws, Savannah Je erson and Janetta Taylor; and a host of other relatives and friends.
