Sabrina Goodwin- Lenore

Sabrina Goodwin Lenore was born on May 5, 1962, in Chicago, Illinois, into the loving union of William Arthur and Barbara Goodwin, who preceded her in death. Out of  ve children from that same union, Sabrina was the youngest girl. She accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age along with her siblings. Even though Sabrina was the youngest girl of the bunch, she never fell short of holding down her siblings and loved ones, acting as if she was the oldest. She attended John Farren Elementary and advanced to Dusable High School where she received her diploma. Shortly a er graduating, along with her now husband, LaShon, they welcomed their  rst son into the world and the journey into motherhood began. As time progressed, she also welcomed three more children and made the decision to be a stay-at-home mother. She spent those pivotal moments being their safe space, their educator, and ful lling all voids that might have occurred. Once all the children were in school and starting their educational career, Sabrina pursued her nursing degree and became what we would learn to admire, one of the best nurses in the industry. She helped so many people in her line of work and was a phone call away, when her family and friends needed a consultation on life’s many medical challenges. Outside of her career, Sabrina also known as “Sub” to those that knew her, and was a fun, loving and family-oriented person. She attended plenty events and even planned many of her own to keep her children and grandchildren encased in family time. She would think of themes, prizes, and even T-shirt quotes to help the family commemorate the moments. Whether she planned or just attended family events, there was never a time where the family did not request one of her famous dishes. She will be truly missed! Sabrina was the rock, the number one fan, the biggest supporter, and the glue for so many of her family and friends. Sabrina leaves to cherish her adorned memories: her loving husband, LaShon Lenore; children, LaShon (Laura), Ivan, Brandon (Kimeshia), Ashley (Tim), and Corey; eleven grandchildren, LaShonti, Ivianna, Ivan Jr., Lathan, Levyn, Corey Jr., Brandon Jr., Lianna, Lyla, Ivyelle and Livia; siblings, Stephanie (Bobby), Belinda, Mitch, Diedra, Ursula, and Kenneth; two brothers, Vincent and Arthur Goodwin, both preceded her in death, along with her favorite niece, Tomica Goodwin; of course a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.
