On August 11, 1942, Sarah McCollough was born
into the world to her wonderful parents Willie and Homer Locke
in Darling, Mississippi. She was a beautiful bundle of joy to them.
While in her 20s, she conceived two adorable boys, Andre Hawkins
born on January 6, 1958, and Leon Hawkins on September 7,
1959. Her boys were her life and they meant everything to her. She
wanted the best for them and she did just that.
Sarah accepted Christ as a teen while giving praise to the Lord
every day of her life until the Lord received her. While praising
the Lord at Bethel Apostolic Church, she met the love of her life,
Frederick D. McCollough. They were madly in love and the whole
world knew it. Sarah and Frederick tied the knot on May 5, 1965,
and they went on to be together forever.
Sarah was respected and loved by many people throughout her
life. She loved to cook and sew and it warmed her heart. She also
dedicated herself to the church so much that she was the church
secretary. Her favorite line to say was, “Praise Him,” and she made
sure to do that daily.
On August 27, 2024, Sarah McCollough transitioned on to be with
