Tashana Nicole Walsh

Tashana Nicole Walsh was born on December 11, 1977, to Vitea James and Michael Love in Chicago, Illinois, Tashana accepted christ at an early age. She was baptized at St. Rome Full Gospel Baptist Church and then at Family Alter Baptist Church. Coly graduated from Spencer Elementary School in 1992 and from Austin High School in 1996. She then went on to continue her education at Harold Washington College where she graduated in June of 1999 for her nursing degree. Coly went on to work at oak Park Oasis in 1999 as a Certified Nursing Assisted ended her career as of 2009, she became a full-time daycare provider for Out of the Mouths of Babes Daycare, where she loved and adored all of the kids that came in contact with her. Coly was the proud mother of three: Tyshawn, Dwayne, and Dwana. Coly felt as if her children were perfect and she treated them as such, Coly knew the hard work, time, effort she would have to put into her kids, and she did it without any hesitation. Coly would go near and far when it came down to her kids. Coly made sure that each one of her kids new how much she loved and cared for them. Coly loved spending time with her family and friends. She loved to dance, sing, and travel. Coly was very reliable, dependable, loving and caring. She was a problem solver and knew how to make a way out of no way. She had a personality that was unmatched. Always willing to help any and everybody rather she knew you or not. Coly made her transition to her resting place on November 26, 2024, at 7:00 PM with her children. Tashana was preceded in death by her father, Michael Love; grandmothers, Bessie Walsh and Charlene Benson; brother, Michael Love, Jr.; uncles, Ezell, Lee, and Glenn Walsh; great-aunts, Irene Collier, Ernestine Jordan, Lou Austin, and Emma Gibson. Coly leaves to cherish her memory: three children, Tyshawn, Dwayne, and Dwana, all of Chicago, IL; mother, Vitea James of Chicago, IL; her grandchildren, Dwayne III, Bella Bell, Chase, Trenton, Tristan, Treasure, all of Chicago, Illinois; two sisters, Lavita Williams (Jermaine) and Tameka Walsh of Chicago, Illinois; two stepsisters, Anita and Cynthia (James); one brother, Ezell Jr. (Maine) of Chicago, IL; one stepbrother, Sonny of Chicago, IL; one special friend, Rashad Taylor of Chicago, IL; her godkids, Titus, Jaquan, Davion, BJ, Jezelle, Brook, Rain, Trinity, all of Chicago, IL; her nieces and nephews, Tazavius, Aurianna, Miss, Grace, and Frankie, Diamond, and Dee Dee, all of Chicago, IL; one godbrother, Tavarius Jordan; four special friends, Tina, C-C, Mary, and Kisha; and a host of cousins, friends, and loved ones.
