Thad, 84, was born on December 28, 1940, in Richland, Georgia to the union of Ross Johnson, Sr., and Annie Lou Jones Johnson. He was preceded in death by his mother and father; brothers, Ross Johnson, Jr., and James Johnson, Sr.; and sister, Elizabeth Brown. Thad confessed Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age and joined the Lower Sardis Baptist Church. Thad later reaffirmed his belief and joined Broadview Missionary Baptist Church in Broadview, Illinois. Thad graduated from Richland Industrial High School. Thad achieved many accomplishments throughout his life. He relocated to Chicago in the ‘60s. He worked for DuoFast Industrial for many years. Thad was loving and caring. He was always willing to help. He had a passion for bowling. He once bowled a perfect score of 300 and won a ring for this accomplishment. He also enjoyed watching baseball and spending time with family. In 1989, he married Delores Johnson, his loving wife of 35 years. He was a devoted husband, father, brother, uncle, grandfather, and friend. Thad made his entrance into eternal life on February 10, 2025. As he closed the door on this life, his presence will be greatly missed by those he leaves behind: his loving wife, Delores; five children, Angie (Bruce, deceased), Keith (Teresa), Lisa (Donald), Vicki (Victor), and Jermaine (Sharrise); two sisters, Alberta Ware and Anne McSwain; brother-in-law, Larry (Regina); and a host of grand and great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends
