Willie Brandy Obituary

Willie Marie Brandy was called home with the love of her family surrounding her on May 28, 2024. Willie Marie Johnson was born on December 11, 1936 in Arkansas to Rosie and Leroy Johnson, she was a ectionately known as “Poot.” She married George E. Brandy, Sr., and they had three biological kids and one loving stepson, Nathaniel, Bruce (deceased), George, Jr., and Alex. Willie graduated from Westside High School in Hermitage, Arkansas. She gave her life to christ at an early age at Antioch Baptist Church. She worked for over 30 plus years at Alden Lakeland Nursing home until retirement. Willie was full of life and a whole lot of spunk. She enjoyed everything from the Chicago Cubs wether they win or lose, various television shows like Wheel of Fortune, Family Feud, and the View. Some of her favorite things were Snu and Pepsi (you better not leave the store without it!) Some of her favorite things were Snu and Pepsi (you better not leave the store without it!). Some of her favorite things to do were to go to the boat, play lottery, and time with family. Willie was a devoted mother, wife, sister, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. Willie was preceded in death by her husband, George, Sr., and son, Bruce; two brothers, Roy Johnson, Jr., and Willie Earl Johnson; and one sister Mary Jean York. She will be missed by many. She leaves to cherish her memory son George E.Brandy Sr (Yolanda), Alex (Laverne). Step-son Nate (Connie). Her siblings, Florence Gibson (Flo aka “Toot”), Jeannette Armstrong (Sal), Jacquline Sanders. Grandchildren Cornelius, Marqueeta, George Jr, Dominique, Alex Jr. (deceased), Dion, Tracey, and Alaysia(Alexander). 13 Great-Grandchildren. A host of extended family members and friends. Her best friend Julia Williams.”
