Yvette Land

Yvette Laurann Land was born on October 29, 1963, to Charles Land and Idella Minor. Yvette confessed the Lord as her savior. Yvette joined Reverend Robinson’s church at a young age and was baptized in the name of Jesus. Yvette graduated from Charles Evans Hughes Elementary School and then later attended DePaul University where she received her General Education Diploma. On March 26, 1999, Yvette began her career as a public area attendant at the Sheraton Grand Hotel in downtown Chicago, where she brought her fiery energy and unique personality to work. She was deeply loved by her coworkers. Yvette later married William Carter, Sr., on July 10, 1999. Yvette loved westerns, beer, and Sunday dinners. She especially adored John Henry and HunBun. Yvette was born into eternity on April 8, 2025, when God called her home. She was preceded in death by her only son, William Carter, Jr.; mother, Idella Minor; father, Charles Land; grandmother, Haddie Land; brothers, Ronald Lee, Kenneth, Alfred, and Moses; sisters, Rose Marie and Patricia; niece and nephews, Pier, Ladonna, and Antwone Powell; and great-nephews, Johnathan and Bruce. Yvette leaves a lifetime of memories that will be cherished always by her husband, William “Frankie” Carter, Sr.; one and only daughter, Paris “BooBoo” Land; two granddaughters, Jaylah and Destyni; one great-grandson, Kaysen, a.k.a. “John Henry;” three bonus daughters, Tina (Chris), Daphenne, and Shonda (Derrick); two sisters, Linda and Sandy (Anthony), her ride-or-die; three brothers, Charles (Yvonne), Vincent, and Micheal; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
