Obituary

Zenobia Anjanette Wells was born September 30, 1967, in Chicago, Illinois, and raised by her proud parents, Thomas and Anna Wells.
Zenobia spent her early childhood years in Argo, Illinois, until the family later moved to Bellwood, Illinois, where she attended Wilson Elementary, Roosevelt Junior High, and graduated from Proviso West High School in 1984. Zenobia then moved on to receive her certification in healthcare from Triton College in 1987.
In 1987, Zenobia met the love of her life, Mr. Eddie B. Craig, and they made the decision to relocate from Illinois to Little Rock, Arkansas, in 1992 where they continued raising her family of five at the time. While residing in Arkansas, Eddie and Zenobia added a sixth addition to their happy family. She would live in Arkansas until 2003 when she decided to move back to Illinois.
Upon returning home, Zenobia began working for Ray Graham Disability Services, helping with the special needs population. She also held a second job working at Clearbrook, a center for handicapped individuals located in Rolling Meadows, Illinois. Upon relocating from Summit, Illinois, Zenobia had her very first home built from the ground up in West Chicago, Illinois, where she and five of her children lived.
Zenobia enjoyed helping others, as well as interior decorating, studying the Bible, listening to praise and worship music, and spending time with friends and family.
For the last ten years, she was a member of Joshua Media Ministries with Pastor David E. Taylor. She continued to follow his ministries virtually when her health prevented her from participating in 2016.
Zenobia proudly served God and her family, tirelessly ensuring they were well taken care of until her health prevented her to do so physically. At that point, she stayed in touch via phone and social media.
Zenobia transitioned peacefully from labor to reward on Wednesday, February 15, 2023, at 7:40 p.m. Zenobia was preceded in death by her birth father, Arlester Brown; paternal grandparents, Tommie and Janie Wells; maternal grandparents, Henry and Geraldine Sam; two brothers, Thomas (Tank) Wells and Ben Brown; aunts, Deborah Sam and Theresa Anne McDaniel; cousin-brother, Gregory Crawford; and granddaughter, Zeniyah Wright.
Zenobia leaves so many memories to be cherished by: her children’s father, Eddie B. Craig; six children, Latavia Wells of Fort Myers, Florida, Lamern, Eddie (Marie), Elijah, Latifah, and Khadeejah; eleven grandchildren, Brandon, Ayianna, Shi’a, Amaya, Latavia Craig, Jaylen, Maleek, A’shani, A’king, A’kiyah, and A’kailah; parents, Thomas and Anna Wells; siblings, Michael (Sacora) Sr., Jacqueline “Jackie,” Warren, Tremaine “TJ,” Eric, Ferrell, Audrey, Tasha, Delores, Tanya, Andre, and Juan; aunts and uncles, Sharon, Bertha, Annie Lee, Berlati, and Tommy; special friends, Sharry Burnette and Judy Dixon; her grand-dogs, Cali and Yeezy; and a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews.
