Earlier this year, my mother and I were introduced to D.L. Perkins and Sons LLC while attending the funeral of a childhood friend. My mother was so impressed with their presentation, professionalism, singing, etc., that she said, "when I die, I want the Perkins Family to handle my funeral". I had no idea that a few months later, my mother would pass away.

When my family and I loss my mother, in addition to sadness, I immediately felt overwhelmed. I am historically my family's organizer and planner but something about planning my mom's funeral created instant stress as it would be my first time planning a funeral. Somehow amid the whirlwind of emotions, I remembered what mom said and shared it with my father. We agreed it would be a good idea to honor mom’s statement and call the Perkins before consulting with other funeral homes.

From my initial call to the funeral home to the most recent post funeral call, the Perkins Family have been nothing short of professional, accommodating, responsive, prayerful, helpful, supportive, and thoughtful. They met with my dad and I and we knew instantly we wanted to entrust the Perkins with my mom. They explained and walked with us through the entire process and made recommendations when we were uncertain.

The entire family takes pride in their services and always make you and your family feel that you matter. If I am honest, I have always viewed funeral home directors in a negative light based upon past horror stories, but Mr. and Mrs. Perkins dispelled all my past negative stories and calmed my funeral planning anxiety. Conversing with them was like talking to old family friends.

My grandmother's funeral was absolutely beautiful...she looked ageless and the arrangements were fitting of the Queen she was...The blanket presented to the family was breathtaking, and the casket and case for her burial was very elegant and stunning...the love and care shown to my family made our loss bearable...thank you for EVERYTHING!
